Upcoming Felting Workshops in Surprise, Arizona — Spring 2026

Spring is here and my workshop calendar is fuller than ever — and I could not be more excited about it. Whether you have never touched wool before or you are looking to try something new, there is a class coming up with your name on it. Here is everything happening over the next two months, including some special workshops at two incredible local venues.

Vessel Class — Ground Floor Artists Gallery

📅 Friday, April 17 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | $125

I am so thrilled to be teaching at Ground Floor Artists Gallery this month. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to sculpt a beautiful three-dimensional felted wool vessel using wet felting techniques. It is one of my favorite things to make — there is something magical about watching flat wool fibers transform into a sculptural, touchable piece of art. All materials are provided and no experience is needed. Just show up ready to get your hands in the wool.

Flower Class — Grand Art Club

Grand Art Club is one of my favorite creative communities in the area and I am excited to bring a floral felting workshop there. You will use wet felting techniques to create a beautiful flower-inspired fiber art piece — think lush petals, rich color, and texture you can actually feel. This one is perfect for anyone who loves flowers, color, and making things by hand. All supplies included. Beginners absolutely welcome.

Vessel Class — Grand Art Club

Loved the vessel workshop so much I am bringing it to Grand Art Club too. Same hands-on felting experience, new creative community. You will sculpt a three-dimensional wool vessel to take home — no two ever come out the same. All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Beginner Wet Felting Workshop — My Surprise Studio

📅 May 9 | May 30 | June 13 — 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | $125

This is the class I recommend to everyone who asks me how to get started with felting. In three hours in my Surprise, Arizona studio, you will go from never having touched wool to leaving with a finished piece of felt art and the skills to keep creating at home. Small group, maximum 8 students, all supplies included. This class runs three times this spring so there is plenty of opportunity to find a date that works for you.

Felted Landscape Wool Painting Workshop — My Surprise Studio

📅 May 16 | June 6 | June 20 — 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | $147

If you love color and texture, this workshop was made for you. You will use richly colored Merino wool to paint a felted landscape — layering fiber like brushstrokes to build a one-of-a-kind wool painting inspired by the Arizona desert. No painting experience needed. No felting experience needed. Just a love of beautiful things. Three dates available this spring at my Surprise studio. Max 8 students.

Online Botanical Wool Painting Course — Live on Zoom

📅 May 23 | June 27 — 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | $147

Can not make it to Surprise in person? This one is for you. Join me live on Zoom for a guided botanical wool painting session. I will walk you through every step as we create a beautiful fiber art piece inspired by botanicals — flowers, leaves, and natural forms worked in wool. I will send you a full supply list in advance so you can gather materials at your own pace. Up to 20 students per session so there is more room to join — but spots still go fast.
